2026 ramblin royalty finalists

For the Georgia Tech community, homecoming week is more than just a celebration of Yellow Jacket pride – it's a tribute to the traditions, spirit, and unity that define the Tech experience. For five remarkable students, the week holds an even deeper significance.

Ramblin’ Royalty, hosted by the Student Center Programs Council (SCPC) within Student and Campus Event Centers (SCEC), celebrates students who embody Georgia Tech’s motto, Progress and Service. Previously known as Mr. and Ms. Georgia Tech, the program has evolved into a more inclusive scholarship initiative to represent all students who are making a positive impact on campus.

Nikhil Majmhudar

Nikhil Majmhudar

Year: 4th year Business Administration major
Nominated by: Student Government Association

Nikhil has spent his time at Georgia Tech demonstrating a deep commitment to campus through thoughtful leadership and impactful advocacy. Motivated by his experience managing a severe food allergy, he became a champion for students with dietary restrictions, partnering with the Student Government Association and Tech Dining to strengthen allergen awareness and improve dining processes, making campus safer and more accessible for his peers. Through his involvement with the Executive Round Table (ERT), Nikhil knows the value of diverse perspectives in shaping effective solutions. After hearing students share their experiences with barriers to recreation and fitness, he recognized an opportunity to foster a greater sense of belonging. As Vice President of Campus Services in the Student Government Association, he advocated for beginner-friendly fitness spaces within the Campus Recreation Center that will help more students feel comfortable pursuing their wellness goals. Nikhil has consistently brought people together, amplified underrepresented voices, and worked to improve the student experience. Representing Georgia Tech as Ramblin' Royalty, Nikhil hopes to inspire others to see that Progress and Service begins long before graduation, and that every student has the power to make a lasting impact on their community.

Aarington Brown

Aarington Brown

Year: 4th year Business Administration major
Nominated by: Delta Chi Fraternity

Aarington has dedicated his time at Georgia Tech to building a legacy rooted in leadership and service, motivated by the belief that potential is never defined by circumstance. Through his involvement in greek life, campus initiatives, and student leadership, he has worked to create spaces where students feel empowered to get involved and see themselves as leaders. One of the experiences that shaped him most deeply is Wreck Camp, a 3-day, on-campus experience where students learn about the institute’s traditions, community, and ways to transition to the next level of their college career. After arriving at Tech as a camper searching for community, he returned as a counselor committed to helping others find a sense of belonging. He later served as dance chair, advocated for increased Black student participation, and was selected as a Campfire Speaker, sharing a message about the importance of community and being open to support from others. Those experiences taught him that leadership is not about having all the answers, but about showing up for others and creating space for connection. Representing Georgia Tech as Ramblin’ Royalty would allow him to inspire others to dream bigger, lead boldly, and believe in their potential.
